Another way I’ve used in a pinch is my checkbook ledger. For a cash purchase I just enter the item, and amount, but I don’t subtract it from the balance in the account. At the end of the year the ledger goes in the tax file and all the info comes out of that hadn’t already been entered into the computer.

Hi Gwen, Great chair!! We had a seat-less twig chair like the other one you mentioned in your article and kept it in our garden… with plants growing from the seat area (we stapled a bit of chicken wire, put some moss and dirt atop the wire then tucked in some ivy plants from the 99cent store!!). I can’t believe how many compliments we got on it.

I don’t mean to spam & couldn’t find contact info for this site but our store is perfect for someone in the Falls area on a budget!

We just opened a second hand clothing store at 8182 Cummington Square in Chippawa - http://downbytheriverstore.wordpress.com/. It’s mostly women’s clothing, shoes & accessories, but there’s also mens’ clothing, books, records and other stuff too. Anyway, my husband and I are also ex-Torontonians & just opened this store a month ago. We’re aiming at better quality stuff but still trying to keep prices down as much as possible.

Reading through your blog, which I came across via accessniagara, I thought you might be interested in our store. Would love to have you visit!

Hey, I think I received one of these!

Are there any instructions on how to mount them on posts or on the fence?
I am looking for a Santa elf to put it up for me so birds can fly in.

I noticed that this elegant birdhouse has a rear door as well as a front door - I bet it can get breezy in there. Hopefully the birds in my backyard will want to reside in there once it gets put out into the garden.

Yes, I hate those cheesy party favours. I throw them out - I am just not sentimental enough, I guess, to keep them. Not even when my own daughter gets wed. I don’t even keep those nice birthday cards. Ooops. My daughter should read this before she plans a big fancy wedding….I did keep the drawings and paintings on the fridge though for a long time.
